The Olympic Athlete’s Family Homestay Programme

Host an athlete’s family!
During the 2012 games, the cost of hotel accommodation will be huge, which means the families of many athletes may not be able to afford to come and see their relatives compete. That’s where Christians can play their part - by providing hospitality in their own homes.
Through our Athlete’s Family Homestay programme, Christians in the London area and venue cities will
o    Pick up and welcome the relatives from a hospitality centre
o    Provide bed and breakfast for 8 days for one or more relatives of an athlete
o    Act as caring and helpful hosts to their foreign guests
o    Drop relatives off at a transportation hub each day
At previous Games, the Christian community has provided over half of all the homes needed to host the Olympic and Paralympic athletes’ family members. We want to do even better.
