East 2 West Update: Summer Camp10 out of 10 was the score from the young people who attended east to west's summer camp in partnership with The Magna Carta School.The aim of the camp was to bring additional support and to provide a holiday for some of the young people that Nicola has been supporting over the year in either one to one or group work. “It was the best week ever”, commented one young person which is a fantastic statement as for many of the young people this was their first time away from home. The week was based at Carrotty Wood outward bound centre and involved canoeing, high ropes and archery, stretching the young people to achieve more than they thought they could. “I was really worried before I came away, scared of the activities and of making friends. But on the week I've made some friends and I feel a lot more confident and I managed the leap of faith!!” |
