"The Real Magna Carta – Christians in Education in the Runnymede Deanery"

Finally here it is: following on from our welcome correspondence earlier this year, we have planned a very interesting start-of-term event which will take place in the hall of St Peter's Church, Chertsey on 22nd September 2009 from 8pm.

The Real Magna Carta – Christians in Education in the Runnymede Deanery

The evening will consist of two parts:
Derek Holbird, Director of Education at Diocesan House, Guildford, will speak on the lead topic to show how governors can incorporate their Christian faith into their work at school. He will also lay out for you the upcoming changes.
Revd Tim Hillier, Rural Dean of Runnymede, will introduce the system of Deanery networks and explore with you how a Governors' Network could help you share resources and good practise.

There will be a break for refreshments and nibbles, and to get to know each other; then the evening will be rounded off with a Q+A session on all the topics above for which Derek Holbird, Revd Tim Hillier and the members of the Deanery Standing Committee will be available. The evening should draw to an end around 9:45pm.

We hope to meet you at this informal yet informative introduction evening at St Peter's, Chertsey.
