“Encounter with Jesus” – Wintershall Study Videos

You may remember Wintershall from the annual event notices for their great outdoor theatre adventure “The Life of Christ” and their Barn Nativity, or you may even have visited one of these great performances. Although sadly – like everyone else – this year they had to cancel their Easter and summer events, rumour has it that they are trying to stage a Drive-in Nativity instead, so watch this space! Meanwhile, Wintershall’s new online materials can be accessed for free by schools, church and family groups, small bubbles and Zoom meetings during this time of social distancing: Just book your chosen theme and experience the story of Christianity from the comfort of your home, church or classroom! Here is how it works:

BOOK online here to receive the link to your chosen video.
GATHER and focus your group in whichever way you normally would. You may want to introduce Wintershall as a place where actors use drama to tell the stories of Jesus’ life.
WATCH the video. After a short introduction, actors perform their encounter with Jesus.
EXPLORE some open wondering questions the actors pose as a stimulus to make connections with thoughts and experiences both past and present.
REFLECT both individually and together as a group (pause the video).
RESPOND depending on your group and situation…reflection time can be extended to a longer imaginative response time if desired.
SEND your group off with the Wintershall Prayer -- and let the wondering continue throughout your day!
