east-to-west in AprilAs we are rapidly heading towards Easter, the initial sadness gives way to the great hope of what happened on Calvary: the sadness of the first Christians watching Jesus’ crucifixion and the hope for those who recognise what the gift of Jesus’ resurrection truly means for the world. east-to-west as an organisation is dedicated to bringing hope to children, young people, families and school staff through their work and the ethos behind it. They seek to follow Jesus’ example, working with hundreds within the local schools and communities that need to experience hope in all its ways.
This month (and in the following months) they want to encourage you by sharing their “ethos words” with you (being: Integrity, Community, Fun, Devotion, Compassion and Selflessness). You can join their “wePRAY” mailer to find a couple of stories each month of how these ethos words are outworked in the lives of those we support – this month on Integrity and Community. Each story comes directly from a school or Relational Support Worker, and will give you a sense of the hope that we find in Christ in action. Go to http://www.easttowest.org.uk/news/article/east-to-west-wepray-march-2017 to read this month’s stories, and sign up via the Contact Us tab.
From a place of gratitude please continue to pray
• that east-to-west bring the hope of Christ into the lives of those children, young people and families they work alongside
• for ongoing funding of their work
• for the schools they partner with and the challenges they face with growing pressure of funding having to be stretched further
• that God would guide them with the ongoing opportunities.
