Extended Crafts Programme at Open Church Saturdays

The beautiful little medieval St Mary’s Church in Thorpe is open every 3rd Saturday of the month and since the beginning of the year, they have been running open crafts sessions alongside – a “bring your own project” needlecrafters’ social from 10am to 12noon and a general crafts session with changing projects and all materials provided (making goodies for fundraising) from 12noon to 2pm. As of March, the lunchtime session has been extended to include an Adult Colouring Table, again with all materials provided. Colouring has been found to support mindfulness and relaxation, so it may be a good craft to take up, even for those who are not confident yielding needles or scissors! All are welcome, and the crafts sessions are followed by a 2-hour café, “Coffee & Chat”, with homemade cakes.
