east to west Prayer Update

An interesting introduction to this month’s prayer article which I thought worth repeating for those who perhaps don’t know so much about east to west yet.
“east to west is a Christian organisation and as such, as a team, we pray for one another. Whether it be in the stillness of the day before anyone else is awake, the hubbub of a working environment or the destressing of a car journey home (we pray with our eyes open at this point!), prayer is part of who we are as a charity. We’ve recently taken to hearing from and praying for specific team members as part of our collective development days (our monthly meeting and training). Over the past couple of months, we’ve shared via wePRAY both Adele and Adrian’s prayer request and this month we’re asking you to focus your prayers on Caz.
But why pray? Why are we asking you, our supporters, to do this for us as a charity? Philippians 4:6 encourages us to… ‘not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’ We believe in a Great God, a God who created the earth, the universe and the heavens… and a God who created the breeze, the butterfly and the blossom. A God of the unimaginably complex and unfathomably intricate – a God who hears our requests and responds. This month as we pray for Caz, be encouraged by the words of Hebrews 4:16: ‘Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.’ And know that the prayers you pray on her behalf will be heard and answered.” – by east to west
