Hello from the New Curate at St Peter’s

It was great at last to be at St Peter's, and as a family we were blown away by the warm welcome we received. It was certainly a service to remember: the church is currently a bit of a building site, full of scaffolding and with rather a squeeze for pew space. Despite all this it was clear that everyone worked together to make the service work. My job that morning was to deliver the first of (I hope) many sermons at St Peter's. It seemed to go well enough (I wasn't booed out of the pulpit or accused of being a heretic!). Our new church family also had a welcoming BBQ for us, which really made us feel at home. We are all looking forward to the next few years here at Chertsey.
