“State Funeral” in Chertsey – Pic ReviewApproximately 200 family, friends and colleagues came to pay their respects at the funeral of Councillor Ray Lowther, held at St Peter’s Church on February 9th, including our local MP The Rt Hon Phillip Hammond, who read from John’s Gospel. There is a display of photos and news articles about Ray, made available by Strodes College, to be seen in the porch of St Peter’s Church – do come and take a look. Ray was a great supporter of the church and local organisations and had in later years enjoyed weekly visits to Coffee Break (see regular events). He will be sadly missed.
