Update: Church Bells and Handbells in the Deanery - Picture ReviewThere has been much activity in the local bell ringing community around Christmas and New Year. The St Peter’s Handbell Choir played in concerts, entertained the residents at Abbey Court and took part in a charity evening at the Thyme in the Tavern pub, where some of the guests had fun trying their hands on the bells: in the photo the pub owner and Revd Steve Brunn, St Peter’s ex-Curate, are giving it a go. At the eve of the year, church bells rang in 2012 in time-honoured tradition – photo: Vicar Tim joining the ringers for the New Year’s toast.
