Knit and Natter at Englefield GreenEvery Saturday afternoon St Jude’s Church is open to all. As well as providing a welcome and refreshment for visitors, some of the members are knitting, sewing and crocheting. They make blankets, children’s jumpers, hats and teddy bears which go to several charities. Since 2006 they have made over 500 blankets, 2000 jumpers, 1400 hats and 1500 teddies. These have been sent to many destinations, the most recent being Tanzania, Liberia, Ukraine and Kosovo, where they are welcome in hospitals and orphanages. New friends are welcome: just come along between 2pm and 4pm on a Saturday.
