Picture Review - St George Meets Vicar of ChertseySt George's Day Scouts Service - this year with the man himself! In an interesting interview, the Scouts learnt that St George was Greek and really never set foot on English soil but died for his faith as a martyr, centuries before the invention of the dragon which is a medieval embellishment... And yes, the English national flag is indeed the Crusader banner. The usual parade, presentation of the flags and brass band rounded off this annual service.
