Latest Correspondence from Bishop Edmund/Kebbi

“Greetings. We give God the glory for all that the Lord has continued to do in my life. Yes, since we last communicated I have had very wonderful responses from our friends so that I can say that with the money given by your deanery and bishop, the hospital bill can be paid. If I succeed in getting the official exchange rate for pounds from my bank then I may have sufficient financial assistance, so join me in prayers for this to happen.
As for the visa, we have applied and done the usual documentations with my wife hoping that things may improve. But if the virus situation is not favourable in England, we shall reconsider her coming with me. We have both taken the vaccines hoping to take the second dose by next week.
Concerning my health situation, I can confess that God has been good. I just came back from Abuja where I went through all the tests again and all the results showed that the tumour has not spread any further. This for me is answered prayers. So please continue to uphold me in your prayers.
Some parts of Kebbi Diocese have continued to suffer with the activities of the insurgents.  We have lost some members and some of our churches are now in ghost towns because they have been taken over by armed bandits. We sincerely need prayers as some people have become refugees that we are camping in our church schools. The clergy and other church workers have to be relocated to safer areas with their families. Things are generally tough for our people now. Many of our members who live on subsistence agriculture are now driven from their lands and their crops and cattle taken from them. We are in a very precarious situation now. So pray for us for divine intervention as our government lack the capacity to deal decisively with the group.
As soon as I am able to secure my visa and exchange the money I will keep you posted.
Thanks for all your efforts and assistance. God bless. +Edmund
