“Thy Kingdom Come” Novena of Prayer

This is the Archbishops’ call to join in a global wave of prayer for the renewal of the Church and the working of the Holy Spirit, now for the third year with growing popularity and a communal endorsement from the leaders of Churches Together in England.
The word “Novena” comes from the Latin for nine and refers to those days when the disciples waited for the promised Holy Spirit. They were “constantly united in prayer” as recorded in Acts. It is the period from Ascension Day to Pentecost.
