Always something brewing at HeBrews Community Café…and at the moment it’s free toast with every hot drink – with a promise to never run out of toast! Free Wifi, too! Card payments accepted. HeBrews can be found right in the foyer of St Paul’s Church in Addlestone. It’s comfy, really friendly and it’s open Tuesdays to Fridays 9am – 1:30pm (last orders at 1pm). HeBrews operates a Pay-As-You-Feel policy on food: it’s run by volunteers which means the food menu has no prices so everyone can feel included; it’s Fair Trade which means the farmers who grow most of the tea and coffee get paid a fair wage and that means their lives change for the better; it’s part of Fare Share which means they pick up food that would have been wasted from local supermarkets and turn it into delicious homemade meals, good for everyone and very good for the environment. Any extra money or surplus food helps to support their Kids Holiday Lunch project which means free kids’ lunch boxes to the community. And it’s a great place to meet with friends, or just by yourself for a delicious cuppa… |
