It’s been a busy time for the ministry team in Egham Hythe. On Wednesday 6 June Revd Rosie Hoad was collated Vicar of St Paul’s, having been licensed and installed as priest in charge in February. The Venerable Paul Bryer, Archdeacon of Dorking, oversaw the service in front of a good number of parishioners who were able to make the 4:30pm start along with Rev Sandra Faccini, Area Dean.
A few weeks later there were further celebrations on the occasion of Revd Sue Loveday’s 20th anniversary of priesting. Sue presided at the 10am Parish Communion Service and, in reference to her ecumenical work with Churches Together in Surrey, the Team Leader of the South Eastern Baptist Association, Paul Davison, was invited to preach. Wine and nibbles were enjoyed after the service to help mark this significant milestone. Sue has been a true blessing for both St Paul’s and the wider Deanery and we give thanks to God for her ministry.
