Encouragement Paid Forward

A recent communication from a deanery synod member, worth sharing – a sign of the care and community spirit that is growing in this difficult time both inside and outside of our churches:

“I took a call a short while ago from a friend who is an Elder at his church. He was ringing for no other reason than to say that he wanted to encourage all those in church leadership roles at this difficult time.
It has really struck a chord with me and I would like to pay it forward to the Deanery - for all those who lead, whether clergy or laity:

‘Heavenly Father, we ask your blessing on all those who work in leadership across our deanery. You know our needs, Lord, better than we do. Please protect, support and encourage us, and fill us with your Holy Spirit so that we may best fulfil our work for You in this patch of the earth.’”
