New Year Message from Archbishop Edmund AkanyaRelayed through his chaplain, Victor Olaosebikan: “The Archbishop of ecclesiastical province of Kaduna and Lord Bishop of Kebbi Diocese, Edmund Akanya, encouraged the faithful to walk with God in the year 2014. Picking his text from Exodus 33:12-16, he exegised on the resolute request of Moses by rejecting the leadership of an angel to that of God himself. He highlighted the cardinal benefit of God's presence which includes Divine direction (verse 13) and Divine distinction (verse 16b). He concluded by exhorting the church and Christians to surrender completely to the leadership of the Lord and not to rely on one’s understanding (Prov.5-8).” Victor also sent us some photos of the New Year’s service at St Luke’s Cathedral, Birnin, Kebbi:
