Reflections on Runnymede Deanery Purpose

On 17th June Runnymede Synod had an Open Meeting in Addlestone which apart from Archbishop Edmund and his wife Priscilla also saw the Revd John Gooding (Parish Resources Officer in Guildford Diocese) and visitors from various parishes to share in the deliberations on furthering the Runnymede Deanery Purpose initiated five years ago by Bishop Christopher’s diocesan-wide request to explore the growth in numbers, spiritual maturity and community outreach of the various parishes and deaneries.  There was a strong consent of all present that sharing good practice and particular ministries and events amongst the parishes would be uplifting and helpful for continued growth, and that the sharing should also include the praying for each other’s parishes.
We would encourage all parishes to use this newsletter to share their highlights as well as prayer requests on an ongoing basis – please contact the Administrator on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your required entries.
