East-to-west Prayer UpdatePlease pray for the Relational Support Workers in the schools: Affy, Carolyn, Dan, Nicki and Nicola are based in secondary schools while Mandy works in three first schools. The secondary schools team build supportive relationships with students while Mandy works with parents as well. The “non teacher-student” nature of the role allows for a unique relationship to be formed where confidence is central and advice and support can be offered. The Relational Support Workers are involved in a wide variety of activities aimed at increasing the emotional, physical and spiritual well-being of young people.Please pray for: o The staff and students in schools as they look ahead to 2012. Pray that they will have a positive outlook to the term and year ahead and that they will be able to deal with all situations in a loving manner. o Further opportunities to develop and expand projects being run in the schools and for the enrichment days that are being planned for this term. o The volunteers from the Salvation Army who are starting in one of the schools this month. We thank God for them and the work they will be doing. Pray that they will be encouraged and blessed through their work and that the students they work with will find them to be a great support and help. o Guidance as Dan’s contract at Magna Carter School is up for renewal in February. Pray that there is funding available for him to continue his vital role. |
