Commissioning of New Rural Deans TeamOn 1st October, St John’s Church in Egham was the scene of a grand Celebration of Community and Commissioning of New Rural Dean service. The Archdeacon of Surrey, the Venerable Stuart Beake, conducted the office in which Revd Jeff Wattley was affirmed by the attending members of Chapter and Synod of Runnymede Deanery, and Revd Sandra Faccini was welcomed as his assistant. A Rutter anthem sung by the combined deanery choirs added to the ambience, and the service was followed by refreshments with the opportunity to get to know the new deans.
