We recently had an uplifting communication about mutual prayer support and trust in the power of the Lord from Victor Oluwatosin, Archdeacon at Kebbi Diocese, which we would like to share:
“Calvary greetings to you and all yours in the name of our risen Lord Jesus Christ.
We do hope you are doing greatly well in the Lord.
We feel so much concerned and burdened about the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic and especially how you are coping with the situation in the UK. We (the Bishop and some clergy) just finished praying for you about this.
The prevalent case of covid19 is on the increase, too, in Nigeria on a daily basis. We give God the glory that we have not recorded any index case in Kebbi State. However, the effect is really affecting our sustainability as a diocese financially at present since there is lockdown of business activities, academic and other civil service. We still hold congregational worship as allowed by the government. But we are trusting God for a great intervention soon in the running of the diocese at large.
Brethren, let us continue to uphold one another in prayers in times like this. Do not hesitate if there are other areas of concern you would want us to join you in prayer.
May God keep us all safe and secure till this storm passes over. Blessings, Victor”
