Breaking News: “Women in Episcopacy” discussionAs you probably know already, the Church of England is approaching an important decision about church legislation to consecrate female bishops. We would urge you to have a look at the links below which will give you two presentations (for and against the present legislation) and some of the deliberations of the Runnymede Deanery Synod in March on the issue (the latter not yet available - to follow soon). Our Synod was evenly split on the merits of the legislation as drafted and passed the “Following Motion” asking the Bishops nationally to provide greater future certainty for those who cannot agree on theological grounds.
