Update on Deaf Ministry in Guildford DioceseSusan Bloomfield, former “Chaplain among Deaf People”, has now left the Diocese and we no longer have a deaf chaplain. The Diocese has taken the decision to go down the co-ordinator route with the vision to inspire a number of clergy to be involved in deaf ministry.Tracey Wade will co-ordinate support, training, pastoral care and events for people with hearing, visual and sensory impairment. The plan is to establish five or six hub churches to focus on deaf ministry and at these churches hold regular signed services and events/training.
