Two of our deanery’s churches have recently held events to benefit our link diocese of Kebbi:
St Peter’s in Chertsey raised just over £800 by eating only rice & beans for a week in solidarity with the Nigerian people’s suffering caused by the Boko Haram. St Mary’s in Thorpe held a bring & share lunch presentation about Kebbi’s outreach through employment possibilities for HIV positive people and through building wells and schools, raising £150 towards the latest primary schools in Ribah and Dorowa. Thanks and well done to both churches for focussing on our Nigerian brothers and sisters.
